Energetic Hygiene

Do you clear your personal space, your energy field?

I’ve had multiple conversations lately with people asking me about clearing their personal energetic space. This is basic energetic hygiene which is a devotional practice for each of us to develop in our own way.

Personally, my practices have grown and changed over the years. I began with smudging myself and my space periodically. Then I added an Epsom salt bath in the evening, especially after doing readings or energy work for others. Next I started using an essential oil diffuser.

Over time, my practice has become more involved, daily and seasonal, and multi-faceted. This evolution came about because of some specific experiences, the most marked of which occurred following a large group constellation I participated in when I was representing someone who was fixated on a specific religious institution.

That night I did my usual salt bath with frankincense oil and verbally released any energy not my own. And that night as I lay in bed, restless, strangely energized, I was unable to sleep.

Finally, around 4:00 in the morning, I got up and went into my study. I knew, deep in my bones, that I had picked up an entity, and its energy was humming through my system. I lighted my candle, grounded myself, and clearly, with a strong voice, commanded, “Any energy in my field that is not my own, you must LEAVE ME now!” And immediately I felt energy leaving my body through my right nostril. It left my body and my energy. I felt my body relaxing and I knew I would rest at last.

Before going back to bed, I followed up with a few more practices to fully clear my field. Salt is a natural cleanser and neutralizer, so I made a saline solution and used my neti pot to irrigate my sinuses since I felt the entity leave through my nostril.

After the nasal irrigation, I followed up with calling up Earth energy while simultaneously inviting pure Divine energy to pour down over and through me. This energy, from below and from above, poured through my being, creating a beautiful bubble of protection around me. And with that, I finally slept.

I use these practices daily, especially when I am working with others in their energy field. I encourage you to develop your own energetic hygiene practices.

Below are some practices for you to try. Please use what resonates with you. And I’d love to hear from you about your own practices.

Smudge using sage or another herb that appeals or using Palo Santo. Diffuse with frankincense oil or copaiba oil. For overall house protection, I smudge monthly and rub frankincense essential oil around all openings. Smudge first, oil second. I also put a line of Epsom salts across the threshold of each door. The room where I do spiritual work gets smudged daily. When I see clients, I smudge between each client.

At the start and end of each day I clear my personal field with earth energy and with pure white divine source energy. When I meditate in the mornings, I call in the earth energy and divine source energy to create a bubble of protection around the house and over and under the extended property.

These practices take a little time but are so worth the effort for health and wellness for you and your loved ones.

Sending love,
Janet
